With my daughter's hair. I think it might have to do with my mom never really making a big deal over mine. Probably because she (my mom) had long hair most of her life, so for her it wasn't a big deal...at all lol. My hair takes forever to grow, and it has never been this long...ever. I'm sure when my daughter gets older, she'll probably cut it, like most of us do in a moment of boredom or trauma. But until then her mother (namely me) gets to live vicariously through her.
I want this body back...
I swear looking back on the Costa Rica pics I was in the best shape to have just given birth only 4 months before. This picture has no filter what so ever and if I do say so myself, I looked damn good. Fast forward to the future and everything that was rock hard then is soft and squishy again. I think I worked so hard to prove to myself that I could do it that I kinda just let things go recently.
My beautiful sister Charlene
My sister emailed me (and my others sisters in a group chat) asking whether or not she should cut her hair. What is she smoking?? I would literally give up a lung to have hair like this. Even in my childhood my hair never grew this long. Did I mention that she had a cut a few years back that was as short as you could go without shaving the back. 😒 It takes me a full year to grow 4 inches. Then I have to cut 2 off because somehow I have breakage. My older sister Tasha told her if she did cut it, she def needed to donate to locks of love, a charity benefiting cancer victims. Now that I wouldn't be mad at. But cutting this for any other reason, gets a big 😱 from me!
OMG, I haven't updated the blog in forever. That's bound to happen when you have four kids, 2 dogs, a man, 2 books, and a job. SheeZ just typing it made me tired! Needless to say I plan to bring it up to date, starting with this ootd. I am so love with these type of dresses. I just ordered two more from www.revolveclothing.com. This one is by Finders Keepers. It is uber comfy and such a easy throw on. And don't even get me started on the haute headz hair piece! 😍😍😍.
I am so happy to be a mom again I can barely take it! Part of the fun, especially with a daughter is the dressing up, though I can't take credit for this outfit. While the whole thing was fab (what you can't see are the shorts, tights, and shoes all the from Gap) I absolutely loved this head piece I got from some internet baby hair now store. Though honestly she probably only kept it on for a few minutes. It was a tad bit obnoxious.. Thanks to House of B Jewels for the amaze necklaces!
OOTD: 9/12/14 - On The Run Edition
So since I was going to the concert in the evening and in Paris I really wanted to be comfortable...and warm. My LOML probably told me a thousand times that I didn't need to wear heels. He was right. There was a lot of walking. So much so I probably didn't need the jacket, as I got extra hot trying to keep up with him. Anyhoo, he actually styled this fit and it ended up being absolutely perfect. I def ended up needing that jacket later.
Jacket: Generation Love
Jeans: J Brand
James Bond Suite
Going back to Paris there was no place we wanted to stay more than the Seven Hotel. Be warned it doesn't have a lot of amenities like bigger hotels however it is so flyyyyy, it more than makes up for the shortcomings. This time we stayed in the James Bond Suite. Our mission, if we chose to accept it (tee hee) was to have a fantabulous time. Mission accomplished!
On the Run Tour - Destination Paris
I'll admit flying 9 hours to see a concert and then turning right around and flying 9 hours back home is absolutely insanity. But as the saying goes , you only live once, so that's exactly what I did. No details to give other than I was really just a passenger on this crazy train,. What I will say is that I'd do it all over again 😍!
I am addicted to Rue107! So much so I know that they're tired of me tagging them in all of my ig posts! I love all the cute/creative pieces they produce. And these shift dresses are no exception. Now... I actually hate this pic.. because when I wore this you couldnt really see my belt. It just wasnt fixed right in this picture. But I lovedddd my clipins, I lovedddd my headband (haute headz) and I loveddd my shoes, which were a Mother's Day gift from my kiddies, so I decided to post anyhoo. :)
